These classes are required to be taken all in one day or no credit will be applied.

Classes are on-site and in-person – not online.


Training Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Registration Starts: 7:30 AM

Price: $185.00 for High Country HBA Member / $250.00 for Non-High Country HBA Member

(Includes 8 hrs of training, beverages, lunch, snacks and certificates of completion.)

Must complete all 8 hrs of training by the end of November in order to renew your license.

We have officially been approved as a Provider for Continuing Education Training by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. Our Provider Number is 0018. Classes to take place at our facility – Builders Plaza, 755 Hwy 105 By-Pass, Boone.

Recent Legislation

If you are a licensed general contractor, then each year at the time of renewing your license you will be required to prove 8 hours of Continuing Education training.  Go to NCLBGC.org website for more details. This new law took effect on January 1st of 2020. The North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors (NCLBGC) expects these courses to start around May 2020.
